Joss Whedon Tribute Show

This is my piece for their tribute show to famed writer and director, Joss Whedon. The gallery collaborated with Joss to curate a collection of artist work that represented an entire 25 year career. As an avid fan of Joss, I chose to illustrate an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer entitled “Bad Girls”. A total of 30 prints were produced using a combination of illustration, typographic lettering and hand-pulled silkscreening techniques, which resulted in no two posters being the same.

Crazy 4 Cult: NY

This was done for their end of the year show entitled "Crazy 4 Cult". It was a show in a pop-up art gallery in New York City over the month of December 2013. I concepted and illustrated the piece inspired by Beetlejuice and played off the “Don’t Tread On Me” flag.

Crazy 4 Cult: LA

Wanting to challenge myself with an extreme attention to detail, I tapped into the feeling of fear and my addiction to the rush it gives. This love of fear began when I first watched Evil Dead as a child. Created to be a one-off piece, I used pen and ink on deep red Mohawk paper to convey the tension, claustrophobia and fright that I felt during the film.

Postcard Correspondence

For the show, Postcard Correspondence the focus was on making a postcard from a pop-culture place or moment. I chose an episode from The Simpsons entitled Kamp Krusty that focused on Bart and Lisa’s experiences at summer camp. To convey the duality of the characters personalities, I concepted and executed two stylistic versions of the same idea. Gallery 1988’s show was covered on many art and movie industry sites such as /Film.
